Shady Talent agency Estate Five VIP...

Also known as "ESTATE FIVE MARKETING" - I am really pissed. I did search for this agency BEFORE signing up to do a project for them. It's been months and they do not want to pay!!! I found another reddit post about these people but nothing on Google so I didn't know this would happen. I reached out to another girl who was there for the same project I was hired for and she got paid 2 weeks after posting. Apparently, they pay the people with the most following first and work there way down? We posted at the same time!! Why are these agencies like this!?

Real estate agent rammed and slashed by 5 men

Last night I received a message in our WhatsApp group chat. It was an obituary for one of my secondary school friends. We all thought it was a prank. Turns out he was murdered.

My friend was a quiet and shy guy during secondary school. Admittedly we were never very close. I can't remember what was his job, but about a year or two ago, he went into some kind of real estate business and suddenly seemed to make quite a fortune. He posted a few photos/stories on Instagram showcasing a Merc AMG GT63 S. Not sure it's his car or just a display.
The company he joined looks quite shady to me. This is a company where he kept posting about how much money he managed to earn, how much sales he managed to get, etc. He even made a few YouTube videos about how to choose property to invest in.
Last night I received a group chat message, showing an obituary. All of us thought it was some kind of prank, until someone found a newspaper report about a murder in JB.
It was my friend.
There are only two reasons I can think of:
- He offended someone, perhaps using nefarious methods to become rich.
- Someone is jealous of him being the top achiever in the company for multiple times in a row.
Usually I only read this kind of news on newspaper. Never expected this to be happening to myself.

The article is most interesting because it shows the crazy costs that IPv4 already is and is going to start to inflict on services and it is interesting to see that while IPv4 addresses are scarce, AWS at least seems to have a fair number of addresses available for future needs.
I can see a $43 / year charge per IP for AWS hosted services speeding the implementation of IPv6 as these services are going to want to save those costs.

TLDR: Sold a house in Taipei, typhoons messed it up, real estate agency says we are liable for repairs for 5 years after selling the house. Is this true?
Longer: Hello, my wife's father is a Taiwanese citizen and he moved to North America around 20 years ago. When his mom died, he inherited her house in Taipei and kept renting it to the original tenants.
Now, he fell sick a few years ago and my wife decided to sell the old house in Taipei so that he can have some money to retire. My wife and I live in Europe, so we have been going through a real estate agency in Taipei for the sale of the house.
Before the sale, the agency hired a bunch of contractors to fix things up: leaky pipes, leaky windows (lots of leaky stuff in Taipei apparently), moldy walls etc. We have paid an insane amount of money before even selling the house.
Now the house is technically sold, but there has been one of the worst typhoon seasons ever in Taiwan, so apparently things have started to leak again. The real estate agency keeps sending us bills for the repairs, even tho we do not own the house anymore, and they said that we are liable for this for another 5 years.
Can anyone here confirm? We fixed up a house, sold it, and now every typhoon season we are gonna have to spend tens of thousands to fix someone else's property while they get the rent money?? I am afraid we are getting scammed.
Thanks for everyone that can shed a light on it, I'm useless as I cannot read chinese and my wife's reading level is not enough for legal documents since she was raised in North America.

中古屋瑕疵擔保責任消滅時效是 5 年
